On the way to school this morning...
"Mom, when can we get a cat?"
"Sam, you know we can't get a cat because I'm allergic to them."
"Well, I think we need to get a new mom who's not allergic to cats."
"Do you think a new mom will cook dinners for you like I do?"
...long pause...
"Mom, when y'all die, and I'm 16 years old, can I get a cat?"
"Yes dear, whenever you have your own house, you can get a cat."
