Hello Parents, Thank you all for allowing me to share all the wonderful things that your children are doing in our classroom at parent/teacher conferences. I will create a small note card to be put in the child's bag that had a 'helper' job that day, as suggested, to help with 'how was your day' communication ;-).
Today in circle we talked about the Pilgrims coming to America on the ship the Mayflower, the Native American Indians that they met, and the Feast or Thanksgiving dinner that they shared. We discussed what each of us are thankful for. Here are some of the answers my precious little students shared:
James is thankful for the trees.
Jake is thankful for food, especially chocolate chips.
Sam is thankful for the squirrels.
Peter is thankful for food, most specifically broccoli.
Jackson is thankful for numbers and pretzels.
Gabriella is thankful for grandma and grandpa.
Ava is thankful for herself.
Kaidyn is thankful for her ponies, especially Pinky Pie.
Sofia is thankful for broccoli and getting to ride a pony once.
Reese is thankful for herself.
I said I was thankful for all of them and that they are here in school with me learning and having fun.
Have a safe, happy and blessed Thanksgiving holiday.
