Fort Worth Stock Show

We took Sam to his first stock show this weekend. The Fort Worth Stock Show is a pretty big one (I think), so we decided to pack up and head to FW on Saturday afternoon. It's about 45 minutes from Dallas so it took some planning to make it all happen between Sam getting up from his nap at 1:45 and bedtime at 7:00, with snack time and dinner in between. Snack was in the car on the way to Fort Worth and we took dinner for Sam (in case he had to eat it in the car on the way back). We ended up having time to eat in downtown Fort Worth before we drove back which was a nice treat. (John jokingly commented that we could have gotten a hotel room in Fort Worth if Sam weren't such a "Rainman" about where he sleeps.) Sam didn't make it to bed until 7:30, but we survived and it was a fun trip. Sam LOVED the animals and tractors, and he rode his first carnival ride (a slide) with dad. But, oh, it was COLD...in the 40s (I think), but the wind chill was in the 20s and we spent a lot of time walking outside and in shady spots between buildings...Brrrr!
Pictures are on our Kodak Gallery page.
