And the funniest part was during pick up on the first several days of class...we didn't get reports about his swimming, but instead about what a "ladies' man" he is. See "Girl Crazy".

Swimming Lessons
Sam wrapped up his first two week session of swimming lessons last Friday. He made such great strides in the water that we decided to sign him up for a second session. He went from a child who was afraid to have water on his face to jumping in the water, getting toys off a step, "hiding his face" in the water, and being comfortable floating on his back. The class he was in focused mostly on water safety and acclimation so he's not quite swimming yet...at least not more than 10 feet...but we have high hopes for that over the next two weeks. I was most impressed that when John and I took him to the water park on his last day of class (Friday) he accidentally flipped his tube in the lazy river and fell in, and had a wave take his feet out from under him in the wave pool, and both times came to the top of the water not even phased by the incident.
And the funniest part was during pick up on the first several days of class...we didn't get reports about his swimming, but instead about what a "ladies' man" he is. See "Girl Crazy".

This gives me hope...Gabby is a big scaredy cat and also hates to get her face wet! I too signed her up for two 2-week sessions...I knew one wasn't going to cut it. We just finished the first one and on the LAST day of class she voluntarily put her face in the water for the first time ever. Hoping for a little more progress the next time around!
He looks like he is doing great!
